In 1995, I was very keen to incorporate computer-based digital encoding in my artworks. I was-at-that time pursuing my career as a graphic designer as well. The technology introduced me to a new horizon with enormous possibilities. I believed it’s enormous ability to produce electronic components. It was then just a beginning, which later made me professional in Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw, Premiere, multimedia interfaces and flash animation. Interestingly, I was lucky to be in two different worlds: a traditional media of art and digital; experimenting with the best of both world and aspire to create a new language of visual expression.
‘Paint and Pixel’ in 2002, is a unique exhibition that featured combination of photograph, illumination, digital drawing and painting. The enigma of digitally generated art and traditional art creates an interesting curiosity-AMong the audience. For many audience, of course, it was quite new, but some of the keen minds could relate that this could be a new form of art and we are not far behind to catch the new technology. The media was not-at-all new in European countries but in South-East Asia it was definitely a new media. Now for me the media took diverse and multi-dimensional layers with endless possibilities.
