SHOTTA : EXISTENCE

In order to know me, I need to forget what I have learnt. Thereby, I can recreate my existence over the societally constructed existence that controls my ideologies. There comes my performance entitled ‘Shotta: Existence’ where I am seeking myself.

In principle, I just follow my instincts. In the process, I try and experience every incident that connects to my visual interpretation to narrate and create a context.

Art to me is a tool, I am not following any particular style. To me, my artworks have a timeless dimension. To me, context is important rather than a particular ‘style’. Repetitive deconstruction is my method to create a metaphorical substance which is a visual experience for me. It is interpersonal approach that helps to seek my existence through connecting, disconnecting, and reconnecting.

In this performance, I have pursued an abstract form of visual metaphoric actions through various daily necessary tools that we use, which have portrayed myself as various selves-at-various time and space: each true to each sip.
